~~ PRINCIPII NERDBUDIA ~~

** THE RULES **

[MIS] | [0000] | [20230731] | [0x17]

The Nerdbude has principles and rules.
If you want to contact me about collaboration or something similar, these principles and rules should also be yours.

0x01 - WHAT IS THE NERDBUDE

The Nerdbude is my swirling, constantly growing, glowing, clicking and clacking dump for code, hardware, projects and stuff.
So primarily an outlet from my cortex to the outside world.
The articles are my personal opinions, projects or experiences and instructions
for other people's projects. If something doesn't work for you or data is lost, it's not my fault.

0x02 - PRINCIPLES AND PRINCIPLES

I and the Nerdbude act according to the principles of hacker ethics.

HACKER-ETHICS
Access to computers should be unlimited and complete.
All information must be free.
Distrust authority – promote decentralization.
Do not judge by appearance, age, origin, species, gender or social position.
You can create art and beauty with a computer.
Computers can change your life for the better.
Don't litter in other people's data.
Use public data, private data protect.

Special focus here is on points 04 and 06.
Computers can create a better and more efficient, more humanistic and more social future (point 06). However, this is only possible if we as people interact and deal with each other from these perspectives.
We will remain at our current level as long as we are not willing to leave categories such as age, origin, species and gender behind us and perceive people as people.
Accordingly, there is no room at NERDBUDE for exclusionary worldviews, i.e. in plain language:

- Racism
- Fascism
- Homophobia
- Transphobia
- Anti-Semitism
- slander
- and other inhumane views
If you think of "But..." in your head, then there will be no collaboration.
If you follow the same principles, then I look forward to hearing from you.

0x03 - COMMENTS

There is no comment function in the true sense of the word here.
There are several reasons for this. Firstly, I don't want to collect any data here. Secondly, the nerd place is written in pure HTML/CSS, i.e. no PHP or SQL running in the background to enable a
comment function and thirdly, this is not intended to be a troll collection point.

If you notice anything that is wrong, typos or similar mistakes, please contact me. If there are valid errors, you will even be mentioned.

0x05 - RSS FEED

Of course there is also an RSS feed:
https://www.nerdbude.com/rss/rss.xml

0x06 - GENDERN

When it comes to the question of whether gender-appropriate language should be used in blogs and on news sites, authors and readers regularly come out as conservative, homophobic, transphobic, backward or even simply sexist. I think the world is much more interesting and beautiful when we treat everyone with respect and appreciation. That's why we're "gendering" as much as we can here. Yes, it won't be perfect, but I'm working on it. I stick to the principles (0x02): If you're thinking of "gender madness", "disgracing the German language", "it's hard to read" or something similar - goodbye and stay away!

0x07 - HOW DOES THE NERDBUDE WORK

The Nerdbude is designed as a blog. The newest articles are displayed first.
You can always access the index.html via [$nb].

On the technical side, the Nerdbude has a fairly simple framework built in HTML5.
Colors, links, tables, paragraphs, etc. are regulated by the style.css
The color scheme is the self-made CYBER23.
CSSYN handles syntax highlighting. A small CSS custom-built feature that highlights code syntax in color
without having to use Java Script (CSSYN (Github))
The posts, as well as the design and HTML, are written in the best text editor in the world - VIM!

No bloat and as simple and understandable as possible.

0x08 - Search

There is a search, but not with a search form but simply with "CTRL + F".
You can search for the following tags:

TAGS
[KBD] - Keyboards
[LOG] - News
[PRO] - Programs
[POD] - Podcasts
[SYS] - Operating Systems
[HDW] - Hardware
[COD] - Code
[REL] - Releases
[BAS] - Basics
[ART] - Art
[HOW] - How to
[VIM] - Vim Tutorials
[MIS] - Misc

0x09 - PRIVACY

The Nerdbude itself does not set any cookies, does not use trackers or similar spy-shit.
The connection is secured via SSL.
BUT! There is no such thing as 100% security. The provider certainly tracks IPs and logs accesses.
I am working on moving the Nerdbude and hosting it myself. That will take some time, though.
When the time comes, there will be an article about it here.

0xA - LICENSE

All posts that you find here on NERDBUDE are under the "CC BY-NC-ND" license.
Here I have explained it in more detail.

0xB - BUGS AND EXPLOITS

If anyone notices something here that doesn't work as it should or can actually be exploited negatively, please let us know using one of the options mentioned above.
Responsible disclosure is the motto here!
